New Canopy over King Nestor's Ancient Hellenic Palace

PROPRIETOR: LAMDA TECHNIKI S.A.

LOCATION: Pylos, Messinia Prefecture.

PROJECT: Supply, processing and assembly of structural-steel framed canopy, including installation of roofing system, which consists of membrane and insulation cassette units (total area of 3,000m2).

Contract perplexity and technical know-how allows for two or three organisations in Greece to facilitate its realisation.

The load-bearing frame of the canopy comprises of 16 tree-formed columns and 8 nettings, which shape and arrange the form of the curvilinear structure of the roof in three dimensions in space. To achieve such a task, precision puncture of building frame with tolerances of 1-2mm was required, and specific equipment and certification was implemented.
